Addictions

“Accepting help and finding the right treatment can truly save your life.”

Addiction can profoundly affect both your life and the lives of those you love. Often, it’s difficult to recognize the seriousness of the problem until the consequences become overwhelming, or until family or friends step in.

With over 15 years of experience working in diverse treatment programs, I have had the privilege of guiding individuals through recovery and witnessing some of the most inspiring transformations in my career.

Psychological counseling and treatment can help you explore your motivation, understand the severity of your addiction, and assess whether there may be underlying mental health challenges. The most important first step is acknowledging that you need support and finding the program that fits your unique situation—because no two paths to recovery are the same.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I seek psychotherapeutic treatment?

This is not an easy question to answer. The most obvious reason is when we feel unwell and do not know why or how to fix it, and this suffering continues over time without resolution. This may include situations of existential blockage, difficulty making decisions, difficulty functioning normally due to emotional and/or physical distress, or feeling that we keep falling into the same harmful or unwanted behaviors. Still, this is only a limited list of possible difficulties that may describe some people. Suffering can take many forms, and every experience is unique.

What happens in the first session?

We explore your reason for coming, your history, and your goals. We agree on a work plan and next sessions; you can ask questions about the approach, confidentiality, and practical details.

What approach do we use?

We work with an integrative, evidence-based model: practical tools (e.g., cognitive and behavioral techniques), emotional regulation, habits, relationships, and motivation for change. Not just “talking”: we train skills you can apply in your day-to-day life.

Is it confidential? Are there any limits?

Yes,confidentiality is the rule. It is only limited by legal or safety requirements (serious risk to you or others), which we explain transparently.
