University Counseling
One of the most vulnerable periods for mental health problems is precisely the beginning of adulthood, when we start university. It is estimated that nearly 35% of university students develop some form of psychological disorder during their studies. It is also notable that in Spain, one in three university students drops out before completing their degree.
University takes place during the transition to adult life, which brings new challenges and difficulties. A lack of tools to cope with academic pressures, combined with the challenges of adapting to a new environment and lifestyle, can be difficult to manage.
At the INTERNATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY CENTER, we understand that the process of maturation and adaptation to adulthood can be a highly vulnerable period during which many mental health disorders emerge for the first time.
